| SATs Results National Curriculum Assessment Pupils at the end of Key Stage 1 (Year 2) and Key Stage 2 (Year 6) are required to undertake Standardised Assessment Tasks/Tests (SATs). In KS1 these tests help inform an overall Teacher Assessment level (in Reading,Writing, Maths and Science) which is then reported to parents. In KS2 both test and teacher assessment levels (in Reading, Writing, Overall English, Maths and Science) are reported to parents. 2008 - Key Stage 1 The KS1 sheet compares our results for this years 2008 Teacher Assessments, with previous year's Teacher Assessments. There maybe differences each year in the SATs themselves, but the National Curriculum Attainment Targets, i.e. the criteria against which the pupils are assessed, remain the same. National Curriculum documentation is always available in the Parents' Area in the foyer. Key Stage 1 SAT results 2002 - 2008

| 2007 - Key Stage 2 The KS2 sheet compares the results from this year's SATs with those from the previous six years. There are differences each year in the SATs themselves, but the National Curriculum Attainment Targets, i.e. the criteria against which the pupils are assessed, remain the same. National Curriculum documentation is always available in the Parents' Area in the foyer. As I am sure you are aware there were numerous problems (out of our control) with the marking, collating and reporting of KS2 Sats results this year. This resulted in a very large number of our writing papers being returned for re-marking. I would like to thank Mrs Kershaw on behalf of the school, for her time, effort and committment in ensuring our Y6 pupils received the levels they worked so hard for and justly deserved. Comparison of the information below shows that, despite differences between cohorts in different years, our levels of achievement in all subjects are again significantly above national averages. We are delighted with the results, and particularly pleased again with the high proportion of level 5 achieved.
